Video: UltraSound Treatments

Dr. Bernstein discusses the use of ultrasound for fat cells

This non-invasive, FDA approved technology employs focused, high-intensity ultrasound to heat and dissolve problematic pockets of fat. The fat is then reabsorbed into the body and eventually eliminated through the body’s natural waste removal process.

The ultrasound waves of the second generation Liposonix system work on fatty tissue at depths of more than an inch without harming the skin’s surface. Studies of the first generation system in Europe report that LipoSonix can reduce the circumference of treated areas by 2 to 3 inches after a single treatment session.

The treatment goal

In studies, LipoSonix has been used to target excess abdominal fat.

The procedure

Treatment of a full abdomen reportedly takes 30 to 60 minutes.
