Accent XL is a painless non-surgical radiofrequency treatment for contouring the body. It uses radiofrequency energy to break down adipose tissue (fat) to a depth of about 20 millimeters (¾ inch). Once dissolved, the fat joins other bodily waste fluids that are eventually eliminated through urination.

The result: a tightening and reshaping of loose, sagging skin.

Accent XL also stimulates the production of new collagen—the fibrous structure of the skin—thus helping to keep skin plumper and smoothing out unwanted fine lines and wrinkles.

Unlike many other non-invasive skin tightening procedures, Accent XL’s fat-reduction effects are usually seen immediately. According to the device’s manufacturer, many patients see 1 to 2 inches of fat disappear after their first treatment, although best results require three to five sessions scheduled 2 to 3 weeks apart. The spacing of the treatments gives treated fat cells enough time to be absorbed and excreted from the body.
